Single Review: BÖHMEN – Wildside

Manchester-based alt-rock band, BÖHMEN, are diving headfirst into 2021 with their new, self-produced single, ‘Wildside’.

It’s a true indie bop drawing influences from the likes of Catfish and the BottlemenThe Clause and Inhaler but adding a little BÖHMEN flare along the way.

With gritty riffs, untampered electricity and a completely addictive drum beat, this Manchester band is coming together for the pure love of music and were gladly coming with them.

‘Wildside’ is an anthemic sound wave of indie joy; a designated 42’s bop with a feel-good cohesive punch to ‘let it all out’ to. The guitar-driven single builds and dives between crashing drums, infectious vocals and a plethora of adrenaline-infused notes that will have you reaching for you hairbrush and singing you heart out to in no time.

Having originated in Shropshire, they have gigged around the country, playing venues such as The Sunflower Lounge and Shropfest before making their first appearance in Greater Manchester at The Old Pint Pot in Salford.

Having racked up over 500 Spotify listeners along the way we do not doubt that this number is only going to grow, especially once live music is back up and rocking.

BÖHMEN have so much potential and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next…maybe something less addictive because I’ve not stopped singing along throughout this whole review!
