EP Review: Bad Rabbits – Waves Collide

Boston based hardcore-funk band Bad Rabbits are releasing their latest EP ‘Waves Collide’ on 29 January!

The EP is a collection of genre-jumping covers and acts as a perfect starting point for new listeners, offering a small taster of what to expect from them in 2021.

Opening track ‘Human Nature’ (Michael Jackson) is a lively homage to the king of pop himself! The powerful harmonies and foot-tapping beat make this a great opener and one that hooks you into the EP right away. This energy is continued in to ‘1979’ (The Smashing Pumpkins), giving an edge to the originally subtle track.

Bad Rabbits approach the following track ‘Walkin’ On The Moon’ with an attack that is unmatched on the rest of the EP. The thumping beat catches your attention right from the start and adds a whole new layer to the song before going out with a bang on final track ‘Love On The Brain’ (Rhianna). Bad Rabbits have successfully taken some quite outdated songs and breathed life back into them, kicking off 2021 with some much-needed positive nostalgia!
