Fickle Friends share their new single ‘Million’

With their recent tracks ‘What A Time’ and ‘92’, Fickle Friends are soundtracking our current worst of times in the best possible way. Their luminous synth-pop textures and dynamic energy provide an uplifting diversion rush of positivity, but their stories offer a timely reminder that you’re not alone in the challenges you face. They are songs which have re-amplified their voice, earning fresh attention from Jack Saunders at Radio 1 plus numerous playlist adds at SpotifyApple Music and Deezer.

Now Fickle Friends share the new single ‘Million’. It’s the third track to preview their upcoming ‘Weird Years (Season 1)’ EP, which follows on January 15th. Watch the lyric video below!

With each song capturing the band’s evolving ability to capture a diverse range of moods, ‘Million’ again offers something fresh. In a daring mix of future-facing alt-pop and throwback funk vibes, ‘Million’ simmers with the positivity that just maybe someone special is unexpectedly waiting within your near future. Vocalist Natti Shiner again delivers a standout performance, stepping confidently from the elegantly phrased falsetto of the verses into the pure pop hook.

Fickle Friends commented, “Sometimes when you meet someone they can immediately become a part of you. The energy you share is electric. They open your mind and make you think differently. They are the medicine to cure your romantic cynicism. They’re one in a million.”

‘Million’ adds to the emotional intensity and larger-than-life songcraft that makes ‘Weird Years (Season 1)’ such an engaging experience. The EP is available to pre-order and pre-save HERE.

This new chapter in the Fickle Friends journey sees the band operating as a cottage industry, keeping all of their creative pursuits in-house. They’re also encouraging fans and the wider community to cast new light on their songs with a series of ‘Weird Years’ art collaborations, which are hosted on their website.
