Nottingham’s Fading Blonde have released their latest single ‘25’ and it is going down a storm!
The single, which has been a staple in the bands live sets explore the anxiety and fear of growing up and how quickly time seems to pass you by.
The trio perfectly capture the essence of the single with big emotional build-ups and quieter moments all rolled up into a one big singalong belter.
Jampacked with catchy riffs, chugging drums and melancholy lyrics ’25’ is very, foo-fighters meets radio head.
You could even go as far as to say muse gets involved from the squealing guitar that fading in and out throughout. The electricity from the guitar perfectly ties everything in together, sparking ‘25’ to life, highlighting those emotionally charged moments of the single.
Lead singer, Evan Jones added: ” ’25 is a really personal one for me. When I wrote this song, I was having this massive anxiety that felt like some sort of impending doom was approaching.
“That life was moving around me, as I was deteriorating and never getting anywhere, I felt like I should be.
“Kind of like a mid-life crisis, but at 23! With quite a dark subject matter, we wanted the melodies and instrumentation to be as uplifting, energetic and fun as possible.”
It is easy to hype yourself up to the jagged guitars and energy as the alternative indie 4-piece bring their sonically diverse and emotionally triggered sound to life.
