Interview: Me Nd Adam talks latest single ‘The More I Grow Up’

Trash-wave trailblazers, Me Nd Adam, is the depraved result of a relationship between a self-loathing egotist and a boisterous, red-headed emotional wreck. After meeting in New Orleans and hating each other, Adam & Vince parted ways. Unfortunately, there can be no despair without hope, no discord without union, no darkness without light. Thus, Adam & Vince came to realize they had no choice but to embrace their differences and craft the emotionally turbulent, alternative pop duo, Me Nd Adam. Now living the dream in a small apartment in Austin, they’re sharing their hope-tinged despair with the world.

The band recently released new single ‘The More I Grow Up’ which you can check out below!

We caught up with Me Nd Adam as leek as they talked about their latest single and more!

So how has the release of The More I Grow Up gone down so far?

It’s going great, we’re super stoked on the overall reception. Alternative Press premiered it and we got a nod from The Killers. Feelin’ good.

Can you tell us something about the single no one else knows?

Everything in the song is true.

Are you likely to be releasing an EP/Album this year?

Yes, this week, November 13th 2020, tell your cousins.

How tough has it been this year making music having been quarantined in the US?

We’ve had an incredible time writing this year. We’ve been able to totally focus on the new album and make it something we’re truly proud of.

What is it like at the moment in Austin with the election going on at the moment?

Austin’s a blueberry in a red state. Feels good to know that almost 75 million Americans decided that honesty and decency matters in this country. Fuck racist people.

If you could work with any band or artist on a new song, who would it be and why?

Tom Delonge. Because we love Blink and he’s the magic.

Once safe, what would be your dream venue to play at?

9:30 CLUB has always been a dream.

What do you get up to in your spare time when not working on music?

Grillin nd chillin. Lays has these new spicy pickle chips, doing anything with those is dope.
