So how has your latest album/EP gone so far with fans then?
Our album, “Lies…And All That Jazz”, is scheduled for a September 18th release but we’ve sprinkled out a couple of songs to give everyone a taste of what’s in store. The reception has been fantastic.
Tell us something about the release no one knows?
Before heading back into the studio, the original intention was to create a lengthier two-part release, but we felt a single record was a better decision this time around. Narrowing down the song list proved to not be as easy as expected, but we trimmed the list down to a concise collection of songs. Hopefully, some of those others appear soon.
If you could work with any band on a new song, who would it be and why?
Trent Reznor would be someone we’d love to work with. We’re big fans of NIN, even though we are stylistically different.
How has your latest release been received?
The the lead single, “No One’s Island”, has been our most streamed song to date and has been added to radio rotation across the US. It’s been well received and instrumental in reaching a new audience.
Can you tell us about the meaning behind the track?
The song essentially is about living in a self-imposed isolation, be it emotional or otherwise, from a society that drains the everyday good from your natural goodwill, the pains that come with said isolation, and the self-realization that we are the architects of our own emotional prisons.
What tours do you have coming up, and what can you tell us about them?
For the foreseeable future, until venues open back up, we don’t have any touring plans. Hopefully, things begin turning the corner sooner than later. We miss playing shows and interacting on stage.
What venue are you most looking forward to playing the most?
We’ve had the fortune of playing some great venues over the course of our career, but it’s been sad to see some places having to close their doors in light of recent events. We hope live shows return soon.
What else can we expect from in 2020?
So, with all that said, until we’re able to return to the stage, we are planning some live-streaming performances to bring these songs to our fans. More info on that soon.
