Smashing through the indie scene, St Peter’s Dream have released their brilliantly addictive new single “What Molly Wants”.
Having already received coverage from BBC Intro Berkshire & Amazing Radio on previous tracks (‘Honey Hold Back’ & ‘Silent Treatment’), the Reading-based quartet are certainly one to watch out for, especially after releasing their massive, serotonin inducing single “What Molly Wants”.
It is hard not to fall in love with this single in some kind of way, picturing yourself screaming and jumping along at a live show or on a night out.
The best kind of songs are the ones that sneak into your life and get you giddy from the first note, which is exactly what this single does.
Be it the playful twang of the guitar, crashing drum beat or the perfectly suited vocals, ‘What Molly Wants’ is a mind-numbingly brilliant bubble of indie rock.
Whamming through the speakers, the gnarly track doesn’t hold back, painting the slick bass and infectious guitar hooks in a spectrum of colour and confidence that would make kind of any crowd (even a socially distanced one), dance along to this anthemic, indie, disco bop.
When discussing the new track ad the meaning behind it, lead singer Travis said, “It’s about the realisations and understandings you pick up in your late teens, and how sometimes just from listening to people you can connect some missing pieces”.
It is an absolute banger to add to your playlist and to take note of because St. Peters dream aren’t done just yet, and I’m pretty sure we will be hearing a lot more of them soon!
