Single Review: Lauren Moon – What Goes Round (Comes Round)

London based singer-songwriter, Lauren Moon has released her latest, brooding new single, ‘What Goes Round (Comes Round)’.

Swaggering through the thick baseline, Lauren ignites her various musical roots, flaunting her musical prowess in eclectic style.

Bleeding through this and the tracks honest sensibility is Moon’s honey-sweet vocals, dripping constantly with an inescapable confidence and constant sultry flare.

‘What Goes Round (Comes Round)’ takes this slow-burning blaze of controlled confidence and swagger and purring with the addictively powerful tenderness to Moons vocals.

The heavier backbeat that contrasts are magnified by the electric guitar, allowing the track to seamlessly change dynamically from that initial hint of tenderness to total assertion (both vocally and instrumentally).

It’s this build which catches you and you pull up your foot to tap along to the sticky beat.
Refreshingly, the tracks slower tempo and slightly more simplistic nature breathes in raw energy and attitude allowing a full appreciation for every instrument and arrangement that has gone into creating such a gritty, foot-stomping track.
