Single Review: Amongst Liars – Burn The Vision

Vision Thing

Hello, my friends and it’s time for me welcome a new band into the heady world of Rock. They are called Amongst Liars, formed in 2019 building on experiences gained from previous bands. As many artists have done, they have capitalised on lockdown and used it as inspiration to feed their creativity and set to music all the anger and frustration that we feel. A slightly unhinged video shows the lies we have been fed and how we sit in front of the television absorbing it all, regardless of the effect it is having on our minds.
This is an eardrum friendly slice of fiery Rock, that smacks you square in the face when you weren’t expecting, then gently tickles your taste buds at 2.24 only to rise again and demand your undivided attention. Behold the demented newscaster, as he bleats away, thankfully the band are well versed in stopping him in his tracks. Assured and energising, a surefire way to prominence.
The band are Ian George -vocals, Leo Burdett – guitar, Ross Towner – bass and Adam Oarton – drums who forged this beating heart baby to weave woeful yet wondrous tales that reflect our experiences, our joys, fears and anxieties. Light up the night sky ladies and gents and stoke the fires of love, peace and inclusivity and find your place amongst liars- these are the good ones.

As our world keeps turning, you need to keep the fire burning.
