MAN WITH A MISSION have today (July 15th) released their greatest hits album MAN WITH A “BEST” MISSION, alongside the release they have unveiled the video for their brand new single ‘Rock Kingdom feat. HOTEI’ taken from the new album. MAN WITH A “BEST” MISSION finishes a trilogy of album releases celebrating the band’s tenth anniversary. It is a career-spanning record selected by the band to include all their hit singles plus firm fan favourites. It follows the recent release of the Japanese chart topping records MAN WITH A “REMIX” MISSION and MAN WITH A “B-SIDES & COVERS” MISSION, the latter making global history as the first ever B-sides album to top a national album chart. ‘Rock Kingdom feat. HOTEI’ is a brand new song made for the album from the Japanese superstar wolf-collective and features the iconic Japanese guitarist Tomoyasu Hotei. The video for the track has been filmed during lockdown, capturing socially distant performances intertwined with scenes of empty capital cities. Regarding the video MAN WITH A MISSION vocalist and guitarist Jean-Ken Johnny says, “It’s actually the first time all five wolves weren’t in the same scene, and it was so awesome to have HOTEI join our video all the way from London! It turned out to be a very special video so hope you guys enjoy it!” Continuing HOTEI says, “MAN WITH A MISSION and I got to collaborate on my song (‘Give It To The Universe feat. MAN WITH A MISSION’), and we got along so well they asked me in return to collaborate on one of their songs. I’m super excited that the song turned out to be a very powerful track! It was lonely filming the video on my own, but hopefully I’ll get to rock out with the wolves very soon!” MAN WITH A “BEST” MISSION also features another brand new song and recent single ‘Change the World’, which opens the album. The special physical edition of MAN WITH A “BEST” MISSION includes a live DVD recorded at their Yokohama Arena show in May 2019, capturing the high-octane feral energy that has propelled them to become one of the most beloved rock bands to emerge from Asia in recent years. This is captured in no greater intimacy than in the forthcoming documentary MAN WITH A MISSION: THE MOVIE -TRACE THE HISTORY-, out August 19th, which captures their rise from cutting their teeth in small rock clubs to flourishing into the stadia conquering behemoth they are today. |
