Single Review: Cruel Hearts Club – Blame Me Too

Diva grunge trio, Cruel Hearts Club, have just released their latest song, ‘Blame Me Too’ on 22nd May.

From the gritty bass to the fierce purr of the lyrics, ‘Blame Me Too’ is a full-on 90’s grunge power anthem, drowning in attitude and sass.

Cruel Hearts Club perform the song about heartbreak, hot mess and jealousy with an untameable fierceness and ease.

From the backing harmonies to the steady thud of the drums, the matrimony between every element works to scrap the usual melodrama of a heartbreak.

The steely electric sounds against vocals strip the track to its bones, exposing the angst, attitude and power of the trio.

It is a no-nonsense powerhouse which sticks a middle finger up at the mundane and enforces female solidarity and strength.

It is no surprise the band have had support from the likes of Iggy Pop, Sting and the Libertines as they continue to grow in popularity and strength with tracks like this.
