At the start of 2020, Glass Peaks started on a high, soon after selling out their headline show at St Pancras Old Church in London – the London alternative-indie tro announced their debut EP ‘It’s Raining On The Wrong Side Of The Window’, due for release the 1st May 2020. The band provided us with a taster to that release with post-grunge anthem ‘Never Really Left’. Now they are back with their latest single ‘London Is Concrete’ – a beautiful, ambient love letter to the concept of home.
“The lyrics for this are about yearning for that familiar feeling of home when you’re far away. It’s about missing people and places, and how they make you feel. London has always been home for me and it’s the place I feel most comfortable, so this tune serves as a bit of a love letter to home” – (Alfie Jefferies, vocals).
2019 saw the trio dive deep into their rehearsal space to write new music, pushing the boundaries further with their sound and what they had to say as a band. The outcome of that time is the EP – ‘It’s Raining On The Wrong Side of The Window’.
“This EP will be a snapshot of everything ‘Glass Peaks’. It’ll be sad, at points it’ll be heavy, maybe a bit electronic, even political. But I promise it’ll be full of heart and energy.” (Jake Cox – guitar).
