LadBaby’s Pub Lock-In goes from strength to strength with the second episode featuring Scarlett Moffatt surpassing a million views this week. This week will see LadBaby (Mark Hoyle) and LadBabyMum (Roxanne Hoyle) bring the pub (garden shed) to your living room on Saturday night, streaming live on Facebook and YouTube from 9pm with celebrity guest Pat Sharp.
LadBaby have had a busy week in isolation. This week their ‘When Dad hacks a closed McDonald’s’ video has exploded online with over 12.5 million views in 3 days – a record for the celebrity couple that consistently deliver innovative entertaining content for their 6.2 million followers. The McDonald’s drive thru simulator has been used by families around the world to entertain their children during isolation.
Yesterday Mark then surprised Rox with Matt Lucas for a sing-along to his charity song ‘Thank You Baked Potato’ #FeedNHS alongside other celebrities like Gary Barlow and Rick Astley, helping to spread the message instructing people to wash their hands, stay indoors and not touch their faces. FeedNHS is aiming to take food from the thousands of cafes, restaurants and canteens that have been forced to shut down and send it to hospitals. The charity was set up by Matt Lucas along with Damien Lewis and Helen McCrory.
They commented:
“This week we have the man, the myth, the mullet, PAT SHARP joining us for our Saturday Night Pub Lock In.
I’m not sure how we’ve pulled it off, but we’ve got both Rox and I’s FAVOURITE ever children’s TV show host to help us turn our pub (garden shed) into the perfect fun house experience for everyone at home. With the good people of the UK having endured another week at home and probably feeling like they’re not in a fun house, this is hopefully the ideal time to bring the national most loved host back into their living rooms for a bit of Saturday night fun and positivity.
As always we’ll also be having our weekly pub quiz, the opportunity for the audience to learn a new bar trick/challenge and of course my wife’s favourite feature ‘Celebrity Dog Look-alikes’. If you’re looking for 30 minutes of laughter this Saturday, make sure you’ve got a cold drink in the fridge and ready to join us on Facebook from 9pm as we try and build on last weeks 1m+ views.”
Originally from Nottingham, LadBaby lives in Hertfordshire with his wife LadBabyMum and their two children, Phoenix and Kobe. Supported by his family, LadBaby started documenting his journey to responsible parenthood in 2016, with his Facebook page and YouTube channel charting his transition from lad-to-dad. His social media channels now boast more than 6.2 million followers, with his weekly videos reaching millions of people around the world.
In 2018, LadBaby was named Celebrity Dad of the Year, triumphing over fierce competition from Prince William, SimonCowell and Rio Ferdinand. And not to be outdone, LadBabyMum was crowned Celebrity Mum of the Year in 2019, having overcome competition from Kate Middleton, Holly Willoughby and Rochelle Humes.
The success of ‘I Love Sausage Rolls’ and ‘We Built This City on Sausage Rolls’ saw LadBaby become just the third act to claim consecutive Christmas #1 singles after The Beatles and the Spice Girls. ‘I Love Sausage Rolls’ also became the fastest-selling download track of the entire year. Both singles were released to benefit The Trussell Trust’s mission to end the need for food banks in the UK.
