Gothic Rock is Reborn thanks to Once again to the Dark Electronic Master, melodywhore; he has just released a collection of remixes from the DarkLight EP. The After-Dark Remixes, a six track album that reminences the sounds of Joy Division a poetic existentialism, nihilism, dark romanticism, tragedy, melancholy and morbidity.
“The After-Dark was written about going to some dark places in some of my past relationships. A lot of metaphors going on in there…” said James Reyna, the man behind the melodywhore project.
Remixed by Fused, Upon Eventual Collapse, Bare Island and melodywhore, and including a remix of the previously released single “Dissolve”, this album marks the last of the singles to be released from the DarkLight EP.
melodywhore is a darkwave electronic project with post rock and industrial roots. it began around 2000 and has had a number of incarnations since. melodywhore is currently djing a weekly show on Radio Dark Tunnel and working on remixes, collaborations and a full album late 2020.
