2000Trees Festival announces 42 bands including Creeper, Knocked Loose, The Amazons and many more!

JIMMY EAT WORLD have already been announced as one of the headliners but today, 2000Trees Festival is excited to announce a further 42 incredible bands to one of the most loved festival weekends in the Summer calendar.

The ever brilliant and ever changing CREEPER will be returning to the Gloucestershire fields, in support of their brand new album ‘Sex, Death & The Infinite Void’.  The new record possesses the energised punk, black-hearted romance and theatricality that made them so important but moves boldly towards their next chapter with a widescreen, cinematic scope that merges elements of classic Americana into their sound. Forever a fan favourite live, they will be one to not miss.

“2000trees is my favourite of all the UK festivals.” says singer Will Gould. “It’s really awkward saying that, because you don’t want to upset the other festivals, but it’s one of the first ones that took a chance on us when we began. We played there in 2015 [on the Cave stage], then played the main stage, then came back and headlined the second stage in 2018. So we’ve had a long history with that festival.

“They help young, small bands to get a start by offering them a platform, so it’s always been my goal to come back. This year, it’s the biggest slot they’ve ever given us, second from top on the main stage. At this stage in our career – with a second album that’s not even out yet – that means a lot. I think the festival aligns with the values and ethics of the band, which is really cool.” Read more from CREEPER in the new issue of Kerrang! magazine.

After a crazy 2019 of releasing their second top 10 album, headlining Brixton Academy, and supporting Muse and Thirty Seconds To Mars, rock band THE AMAZONS play 2000trees for the first time.   KNOCKED LOOSE have caused a stir in the heavy music world since their debut, but nobody could have predicted just how huge the follow up would be. One of the most talked about and praised bands both on record and live, the band will be making their 2000trees debut in 2020.

One of the breakout bands of 2019HOT MILK will make their debut. Already used to playing to huge crowds like they did with the Foo Fighters, they are sure to get the party started. Elsewhere, dark pop songstress LIZZY FARRALL, the critically acclaimed and stars of a recent & moving BBC documentary, DREAM STATE will appear alongside seasoned acts JOY FORMIDIBLE and VUKOVI.

Other big bands announced today are alternative rock band DINOSAUR PILE-UP, emo legends THE GET UP KIDS, one of the UK’s best rock bandsBOSTON MANOR.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the early bird ticket sales for 2020 and we’re definitely on the way to a sell-out year. I’m very proud of the line up we’ve put together and I think it shows the usual 2000trees mix of classic bands, new bands breaking big and your-favourite-new-band you are about to discover. So check out the Trees Spotify playlist, grab a ticket and we’ll see you at sunny Upcote Farm in July!” says booker James Scarlett

What we got up to in 2019

In 2019 we banned plastic and introduced the GreenGoblet cup scheme. This all contributed to a 6 tonne reduction in waste from the previous year.  We also had Frank Water for the first time and over the course of the weekend, Frank Water served just over 6,700 litres of chilled filtered water from our kiosks. This means that around 13,500 single use plastic bottles that haven’t ended up in landfill or our oceans.

2000Trees Festival is partnering with two fantastic charities this year. Stay tuned for how you can get involved in the coming months.

Attitude is Everything (registered charity number 1121975) works in partnership with audiences, artists and the live music industry to improve Deaf and disabled people’s access to live music.  “I’m thrilled that 2000Trees are the first music company to announce how they are going to ‘play their part’ in Attitude is Everything’s 20th Anniversary next year.  2000Trees have chosen us as one of their charity partners: fans and guests of the festival will be able to donate to us when purchasing their tickets.” Suzanne Bull MBE, CEO.
