The Lutras release new single ‘Fight Night’

Recently crowned Firestone’s national 2019 ‘Road to the Mainstage’ winners, Scottish indie-rockers, The Lutras, return with their full-throttle single ‘Fight Night’ today on Friday 13th December.

Fight Night is a story of the working class youth – staying out all night, drinking too much, getting into situations that could have been avoided. Produced by Bruce Rintoul (Twin Atlantic, Fatherson), it’s rock ’n’ roll at its very essence: singer Clem’s electric vocal performance underpinned by gritty riffs and pounding rhythms.

In little over 12 months, with 2 early independent releases under their belt, The Lutras are fast becoming Scotland’s hottest new band. Ending 2019 with a UK tour, already backed by Radio X and penned by This Feeling as one of their ‘Big in 2020’ artists, XS Noise describe The Lutras as, “A sunny slice of Britpop as filtered through Bruce Springsteen”.  As winners of Firestone’s annual search for the UK’s best independent talent, The Lutras topped a public vote across nearly 1,000 artists, priming the band for a 2020 schedule packed full of shows and festivals throughout the British Isles and beyond.
