Album Review: Track Dogs – Fire On The Rails

Track Dogs,”Fire On The Rails” (Mondegreen Records)- This interesting and eclectic outfit are based in Spain but take their name from the unappreciated  maintenance teams who toil away in the subterranean depths of New York’s extensive subway system. Track Dogs’ infectious fusion of folk and Americana is captured at its inventive best here  as this multi-national quartet deliver life enhancing ditties such as their Freddie Mercury tribute,”And The Piano Sings” and “Love And War” for your listening pleasure the latter boasting a guest appearance on fiddle from Phil Beer of Show of Hands fame.
