Rews share grungy empowerment video for new release Birdsong

Northern Irish founded Rews are back with their new single and video ‘Birdsong’, the band’s first song since 2018s ‘Can You Feel It?’. The band are also gearing up to get the UK dancing when they open for The Darkness on their full winter tour.
Balancing their old sound with a new grunge statement, a refresh for the band has created an anthemic track with the ability to captivate. A strong elevation for the return. Alongside a powerful video that captures Shauna’s athleticism and love for silks, she shows a new strength as a front woman, shaking off a once awkward exterior.

“Birdsong marks a start of a brand-new chapter for Rews!  Its darker, heavier & the sound that fills my bones with joy! Birdsong is all about the journey we take from grief to regaining your strength and eventually healing from something that we perhaps allowed to capture the best version of ourselves.   Life should be spent with people who draw the magic out of you. We have to break free from negativity, let our hearts heal & be the only person we can be: ourselves!”

Rews are a band that bring melodies to a distorted guitar driven track, a crescendo into the chorus Rews develop into a catchy middle that is sure to get a crowd off their feet. The band have had a great ride so far having played Glastonbury, recorded ‘Pyro’ at Abbey Road, represented Marshall Records at NAMM, the band mark this new chapter with the release of an anthem for all.
