Jimmy Eat World to perform as special guests of Biffy Clyro at The Roundhouse for pre-Q Awards

Jimmy Eat World today announce they are to appear as special guests of Biffy Clyro at their sold out preQ Awards Show at The Roundhouse on Tuesday 15th October. The pre-Q Awards show kicks off a busy week of UK activity in the lead up to the release of Jimmy Eat World’s 10th studio album, Surviving, released on 18th October via The Orchard / RCA Records. The acclaimed Arizona four piece will play Sheffield Leadmill (17th October), HMV Vault, Birmingham (18th October) Banquet Records (19th October) and London Metropolis Studios (20th October). They will be the first band to play Europe’s biggest record store HMV Vault, Birmingham. Tickets for Banquet Records show at Prysm, Kingston sold out in 8 minutes as fans flocked to see their heroes in this uniquely intimate venue. Tickets for Mastercard’s event at Metropolis Studios are also now sold out.

Released on 18th October, Surviving is the band’s most personal, ambitious album to date and frontman Jim Adkins once again proves himself as one of the most prolific songwriters in rock & roll.

As Adkins himself puts it, “Surviving explores some of the different kinds of weights my ego tells me I have to carry, what I see people around me choosing to carry and what I have found to be the truth when I choose to let go”.

Surviving is a timely reminder of just why Jimmy Eat World are still selling out venues, headlining festivals and scoring top 10 albums as new generations of fans adopt their songs as the soundtrack to their lives.
