Our Hollow Our Home Release Parting Gift – All digital sales to Macmillan Cancer Support

Hotly tipped Southampton metalcore crew, Our Hollow, Our Home release a video for their single “Parting Gift”, taken from their acclaimed sophomore album “In Moment // In Memory” which the band self-released in Oct 2018.  All proceeds from digital sales of the single will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.

“Parting Gift” is probably as far away from a “standard” Our Hollow, Our Home song as it could get, but I’d also argue it’s probably one of the most important songs we have ever written. Since releasing our album, “In Moment // In Memory”, the band and I have been enormously touched by the countless messages from our fans all over the world sharing their stories with us, and telling us how they found solace with the record and in particular this song.

This Macmillan Coffee Morning, we release “Parting Gift”.  All proceeds from digital sales of the single will go to Macmillan Cancer Support (today and any future sales). Their nurses were incredible to my father and my family in his final few weeks and they do not get anywhere near the support and recognition they deserve.  This is our band trying to give a little something back. Every £29 raised can fund a Macmillan nurse for an hour, and that hour will make the world of difference to someone and their family.

I lost my father to cancer, and this has been very difficult to deal with both in my own heart and for my family. Let’s do whatever we can to help find a cure for this devastating disease.”

Affectionately known as “OHOH” – Our Hollow, Our Home are fast becoming one of the most important bands to watch in the UK metalcore scene.  Their YouTube (Over 5M + combined plays), Facebook (107k likes) and Spotify (over 20 Million streams and 130k monthly listeners) numbers are going through the roof – a band who independently release everything they do. They dropped the first release from the new album “Speak Of Sorrow” to frenzied excitement and have amassed a whopping 200K views of the video on YouTube and “In Moment” has hit over 623K streams on Spotify to date.

”In Moment // In Memory” is the legacy of a personal journey of both love and loss. In 2017, Vocalist / Guitarist Tobias Young lost his father to an aggressive battle with Cancer and understandably, therein lies the overriding inspiration for the record.  The album is raw, heavy, melodic and in all honesty, it’s a rollercoaster of emotion.

The band have had a relentless touring schedule in 2019, performing shows across the UK and mainland Europe. They return to the stage this October with the third annual Holloween show, OHOH’s curated night in their hometown of Southampton which will take place on October 26th at The 1865.
