THECITYISOURS embark on a UK Tour this autumn in support of their critically acclaimed debut ‘LOW’ out now.
‘The release of ‘LOW’ has been incredibly humbling. When we received news that our album release show had sold out, we were lost for words. To have the opportunity to debut these songs at one of our favourite venues, in our hometown was one thing, but to be able to do it to a sold-out room was very overwhelming. The audience was incredible and the atmosphere was totally electric. People singing every word back to us, showing their sheer emotion was a very special experience indeed. We couldn’t really believe that all those people had turned out to be a part of it with us!
We’re incredibly excited to take this record out across the UK for the first time & hope to share some of those experiences with those all over the country. We were fortunate enough to be able to handpick the line up for the tour also & will be bringing along our good friends The Uncharted & Lastelle for the ride. These shows are guaranteed to be emotional and we look forward to seeing you out there!’ – Mikey Page

On ‘LOW’, THECITYISOURS take an introspective look at mental health and self-betterment; combining heartfelt lyrics and impassioned melodies with a gigantic serving of neck cranking riffs. Recorded, engineered, mixed and mastered by Oz Craggs (Feed The Rhino, NECK DEEP, Mallory Knox) at Hidden Track Studios in Folkestone, Kent, ‘LOW’ is a truly empowering record that will leave you ready to take on whatever the world throws at you.
“In a social climate where mental health, particularly in Males, is often treated as a taboo subject, we felt it was important to take an honest and sincere approach when putting this album together. These songs have been our coping mechanism for some of the most difficult times in our lives, but also a huge lesson that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, even in the darkest moments.
We wanted to empower the ideology that it is okay to be vulnerable, it’s okay, to be honest about your emotions and nobody is alone in feeling this way, even if it seems that they are. We hope people can interpret these songs in their own way and experience the same comfort we have in creating ‘LOW’.” – Mikey page
