Grammy Award-nominated singer/songwriter Natasha Bedingfield releases “Kick It,” off her highly anticipated forthcoming album Roll With Me, due out August 30. With its anthemic chorus, rhythmic melody and palpitating beat, the introspective track — produced by Linda Perry and Adam Bravin — explores the challenges and ineffable rewards of a long-term relationship.
Roll With Me was produced by multi-platinum producer Linda Perry and will be released via WE ARE HEAR, the combination label/publishing/management company Perry co-founded with fellow multi-platinum producer Kerry Brown. The album is available for pre-order HERE. Album pre-orders include a download of “Kick It,” and “Roller Skate,” which are available via Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify and all DSPs.
The new album finds Natasha embracing one of her most undeniable strengths as a songwriter: a rare ability to instill each of her songs with infectious positivity, without ever sacrificing emotional honesty or lyrical depth. “Through so much of my life, music has been the thing that helps me to have faith and keep believing in the positive,” said Natasha.
“Kick It,” arrives on the heels of Natasha’s recent performance at the Kennedy Center for “NSO Pops: Apollo 11: A Fiftieth Anniversary.” Joined by the National Symphony Orchestra, she performed a special version of “Fly Me to the Moon” at the event celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing on the moon.
The evening also featured performances by Pharrell Williams and Herbie Hancock, as well as an appearance by Apollo 11 astronaut Michael Collins and a never-before-seen 1997 performance of David Bowie singing “Space Oddity. To watch Natasha’s performance, click HERE.
Earlier this summer, Natasha released a special new remix of her iconic song “Unwritten” created expressly for MTV’s The Hills: New Beginnings. VICE called the remix “an earworm for a whole new generation,” with MTV describing it as a “fresh version” of her “incredibly catchy and infectious song.” “Unwritten” emerged as the most-played song on US Top 40 radio the year it was released, with the double-platinum hit cementing Natasha as one of the most important and distinct female voices of our generation.
Named one of VH1’s “100 Greatest Women in Music,” Natasha has sold over 10 million albums and 10 million singles, totaling over 20 million records worldwide and has earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and multiple Brit Award nominations for Best British Female Artist. Her illustrious career also includes collaborations with icons like Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Nikki Minaj, Bruno Mars and Sheryl Crow.
