Born and bred Jersey pop and alternative artist Tadhg (Tyge) Daly is triumphing his songs now in London. With dedicated support from BBC Introducing London, Daly is making his mark within the London independent scene. Having played to sold out shows in London to hugely successful shows in Berlin as well as supporting James Blunt in his hometown, Tadhg is clearly recognised as an incredible performer.
After garnering critical acclaim with previous single “Hit the Ground”, Tadhg is back with a pacey, percussive, pouncing love song – “Stuck in The Middle”. London based songwriter Tadhg says, “The track is a song about the space between your head and your heart. It’s about trying to find peace and clarity in the midst of hard decisions. Letting go of something or someone that you love is so painful and this song was my way of doing that. Each time I get on stage and play this song to people I let go of a little bit of the pain that inspired the song.”
“With only four singles to his name so far, Daly has slowly been making a name for himself in the UK” – The AU Review
The BBC Introducing artist continues to quote, “I am absolutely fascinated by the combination of heartfelt, poignant lyrics and hooky accessible music. I think there is such an artform in that and as an artist that is what I aspire to do. I want to make people really feel something and also be able to dance at one of my shows. Music is a spiritual experience and I just want to make people feel the way I do about music, when they listen to my songs. To be able to find honesty and authenticity within a catchy melody is one of the most visceral and inspiring feelings whether you are the listener or the writer; and as the writer I found those moments in Stuck in the Middle’”.
