Y!KES release new single/video ‘Shadow Gallery’

Y!KES are a new alternative rock band from Birmingham. Since forming in January 2019 they have released three singles/videos, their debut being the highly well received ‘Uncanny Valley’. Their 4th single ‘Shadow Gallery’ is out now (19th July.) FFO Muse, MCR, Foals, Enter Shikari, Biffy Clyro.

The bands sound is defined by frantic guitars, gritty vocals, huge drums and cutting lyricism. Their videos and online presence have quickly gained attention for their eccentricity, this being translated to their energy on stage. Their new track ‘Shadow Gallery’ is a Britpop inspired anthem written about dementia. The video features a large cast, including iconic 70’s / 80’s Pop Star ‘Tony Christie’ who plays an older version of Y!KES frontman Joby.

Following slots at NotAFest, Soma Fest, Your City Festival and dates all over the UK supporting acts such as Mantra and Woes, the band have plenty more in store for 2019 including slots at Macmillan Fest & Hard Rock Hell. They’ll be putting on a headline show at the Asylum 2 in Birmingham on the 16th August which will be filmed for their next single ‘Halcyon’.
