Charlie Cunningham Releases ‘Don’t Go Far’ Video

With his second album, PERMANENT WAY, out now on BMG, CHARLIE CUNNINGHAM has unveiled an exclusive session video for his latest single, DON’T GO FAR. Shot in black and white, the video features Charlie accompanied by a minimal band as he performs an intimate rendition of this stand out moment from the album.

DON’T GO FAR is signature Cunningham; swooping and diving to capture the deftest melody and the deepest emotion. The unique combination of agile guitar – the result of a two-year sojourn in Seville – and distinctive, spectral melodies has, via three EPs and a debut album [LINES, released to widespread acclaim in 2017] seen Cunningham amass over 170 million Spotify hits to date.

On PERMANENT WAY, Cunningham laughs in the face of the ‘difficult second album’ syndrome and ‘acoustic-singer-songwriter’ imagery with boosted dynamics, while retaining the essence of the man’s achingly personable appeal. The album documents life’s uncertainties; the need for intimacy and love but also space and independence.

As PERMANENT WAY continues to win over listeners, CHARLIE CUNNINGHAM and his full live band will travel to Europe this summer for a run of festival dates before embarking on a headline tour of North America in September followed by a lengthy EU and UK tour in October and November.

The UK tour has been extended with a recently announced one-off date at HACKNEY EARTH in LONDON on 26 February 2020, which follows a one-off sold out date at the Southbank Centre at Queen Elizabeth Hall in London in June. Tickets for all dates are on sale now from the official CHARLIE CUNNINGHAM website and full international listings are as follows.
