This Summer, London-based independent label Fuzz Club return to Eindhoven for their second festival in the Dutch city; last year’s inaugural Fuzz Club Eindhoven seeing fans and artists travel from over 35 different countries to immerse themselves in a communal celebration of all things fuzz, reverb and drone that was described by The Quietus as a festival “full of immense joy, pleasure and power.” Taking place August 23rd & 24th at the Effenaar, Fuzz Club are now announcing the full line-up as well as news on live visuals, warm-up shows and screenings.
Completing the line-up and joining the likes of Iceage, Kikagaku Moyo, Night Beats, The KVB, Tess Parks and more is the transcendental, sun-baked drones of Arizona’s The Myrrors as well as cult Icelandic outfit Singapore Sling and their dissonant rock’n’roll nihilism. The full line-up is now as follows: Kikagaku Moyo, Iceage, The KVB, Night Beats, Tess Parks, The Underground Youth, The Telescopes, Froth, Les Big Byrd, The Warlocks, Cosmonauts, The Vacant Lots, Lumerians, Rendez-Vous, Snapped Ankles, Whispering Sons, The Myrrors, Singapore Sling, Teeth Of The Sea, Acid Baby Jesus, Iguana Death Cult, RMFTM, Minami Deutsch, The Oscillation, 10 000 Russos, The Janitors, Dead Vibrations, JuJu, The Gluts, Medicine Boy, Vuelveteloca, Routine Death and Firefriend.
As well as the full line-up, Fuzz Club are now also announcing two warm-up shows for the festival. In collaboration with Bad Vibrations, The Oscillation and Vuelveteloca (both performing at FCE19) will play an intimate show at London’s rock’n’roll mecca, The Shacklewell Arms, on August 19th. Then, over in Eindhoven, on August 22nd there will be another warm-up show at local DIY space Stroomhuis with LA garage-rockers Cosmonauts, Swedish post-punks NONN as well as Eindhoven natives Tjalling.
During the day on Saturday, there will be the premiere of “The Telescopes – Taste. A 30 Year Celebration” – a forthcoming documentary film looking back on ‘Taste’, the cult 1989 debut album from British noise-rock underdogs The Telescopes which Fuzz Club will be reissuing for the festival. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Telescopes founder Stephen Lawrie and music journalist and DJ Dom Gourlay (Drowned In Sound, Under The Radar).
Overseeing the suitably-mind-altering stage visuals for the festival will be Liverpool-based multimedia artist Sam Wiehl (who has provided his glitched-out digital manipulations for the likes of Liverpool Psych Fest, Forest Swords, Ladytron, Jane Weaver and Actress) as well as the kaleidoscopic liquid light projections of Innerstrings (LPF, Gwenno, Kikagaku Moyo).
Fuzz Club Eindhoven 2019 will take place at the Effenaar on August 23-24.
