The Kooks Release New Track ‘So Good Looking’ Ahead of Headlining Community Festival

With their headline performance at London’s Community Festival just over a week away, The Kooks have treated their fans to more new music today with their single ‘So Good Looking’, out now via Lonely Cat / AWAL Recordings. The track is the Brighton three piece’s second release of the summer, following hot on the heels of ‘Got Your Number’.

With its breezy acoustic guitar, slick electric licks and big earworm of a chorus, ‘So Good Looking’ is the kind of infectious pop rock jam that continues to win The Kooks legions of admirers. Its nostalgic lyrics and timeless musicality make for a summery festival anthem that will no doubt go down a storm with the 40,000 strong crowd at Community next week.

The Kooks have enjoyed a steady ascent since their debut album Inside in/Inside Out, which was last year certified quadruple platinum. A new wave of young fans has seen them amass over one billion streams and head out on a number of world tours, selling out their US tour and playing an iconic show at London’s Wembley Arena. Last summer saw them support legends The Rolling Stones on two stadium dates and play the main stage at Reading & Leeds Festival, before embarking on an intimate UK tour in September to celebrate the release of Let’s Go Sunshine; their fourth top ten album. The band are back on the festival circuit this year with slots at Glasgow’s TRNSMT and Manchester’s Sound of The City following next week’s landmark performance.
