TRNSMT Festival announce return of the delicious street food offering ‘Platform On Tour’

With four weeks to go until TRNSMT Festival opens its gates for another incredible weekend of live music, the festival has announced the return of the delicious street food offering PLATFORM ON TOUR, brought to you by the team at Argyle Street Arches, Glasgow’s only independent city centre street food market.

Following its massive success last year, PLATFORM will again step out into the sunshine to bring 10 of Scotland’s most exciting street food traders to TRNSMTPLATFORM ON TOUR will beoffering everything from authentic Spanish tapas to gourmet vegan and venison burgers, loaded mac & cheese to fluffy steamed bao buns, artisan wood fired pizza and everything in between.
 
With four traders recently recognised at the British Street Food Awards,PLATFORM ON TOUR is THE destination to sample the tastiest dishes from Scotland’s thriving street food scene while enjoying some of the best music the country has to offer. All of the food traders have been chosen for their creativity and flair, and use the best in local, sustainably sourced, seasonal, free range and fair-trade produce. Consideration has been given to ensure that the area offers something for all dietary requirements, and offers value for money.
PLATFORM ON TOUR will join an extraordinary line-up of TRNSMT artists Stormzy, Catfish & the Bottlemen, George Ezra, Gerry Cinnamon and Snow Patrol and more across the three-day extravaganza, taking place from 12th-14th July.

PLATFORM ON TOUR will feature previous TRNSMT traders Ginger & Chilli, ShrimpWreck, Freddy + Hicks, Box Office PizzaBabu Bombay Street Food as well as new talented traders including Yu-Ca-Taco, Screaming Peacock, Moskito Bites, Dirty Mac and Prime Street Food who will all be making their TRNSMTdebut. PLATFORM ON TOUR really cares about its environmental impact, which is why all traders use only fully compostable packaging and single use plastics are prohibited, in line with TRNSMT sustainability goals.
The PLATFORM ON TOUR food offering spans wood-fired pizza, gourmet  mac & cheese with crispy Ayrshire bacon, and plant based treats including sweet potato loaded fries and guilt free vegan burgers with jalapenos and red cabbage slaw.  Asian bao buns filled with Thai style pulled pork or marinated crispy paneer are on the menu, as is artisan gourmet wild burgers with only locally sourced wild Scottish Highland and Lowland venison. Even the fussiest eaters should be able to find something to enjoy with choices including award winning fish finger sarnies, authentic Mexican tacos, and the ultimate chicken kebab made with over 40 different herbs and spices.
 
With great food, comfy seats and a stretch tent, PLATFORM ON TOUR has got you covered for a delicious food and drink journey at TRNSMT 2019.
