Pop/rockers wavebye have just released their second single, show me via AWAL. The mid-tempo track opens with rhythmic delay chiming out from the guitars, and builds up to the soaring anthemic chorus. Frontman Finlay Male has said, “show me explores the last very last moments of a relationship. You know it’s coming to an end but the fear of ‘what now?’ makes you drag it out as long as possible.”
show me comes shortly after the band’s debut single, sugar which was released last month alongside the official music video.
Following their debut live show as a band at Teddy Rocks Festival earlier this month, wavebye have supported HALFNOISE in their hometown of Southampton, and also supported alt/rockers Chapter & Verse at London’s Thousand Island. The band are then playing The Pipeline in Brighton on 8th June with Seasonal, Salisbury’s Feel Good Social Takeover on 22nd June and Burn It Down Festival in Torquay on 31st August. See details for tickets here.
Formerly known as Faux, the band are back with brand new music under their new moniker and are excited for what lies in store. Frontman Finlay Male has said of the fresh start, “We started the band Faux as a group of friends writing emo/pop-rock with the simple goal of having fun while feeling creatively content. Our years together formed a strong passion and belief in our ability to create a unique sound that we feel was no longer fairly represented by Faux and our name should evolve with us.”
wavebye have a lot more up their sleeve for 2019, so watch this space for more exciting news coming soon…
