Single Review: Deafs Door – Wired Up

All Ears To The Ground

Following a live stint at The Sunflower Lounge, our intrepid friends here dip their toes into the murky waters of the music business. Hailing from Brum, THE Home of Metal( I’m not biased, honest, but I maybe an anxiety ridden snowflake) Deafs Door are a quartet of quintessentially( I’ve always wanted to use this word in a review) British rock that has probably been out of favour of late.

The single ‘Wired Up’ is a melodious yet frenzied little beast that catches you unawares and literally with your trousers down. Anger and frustration infused vocals, with more slower speech driven pieces comprise this offering as we see how vocalist Andy Reilly is not afraid, he and his army will quite happily boot you up the backside and see that you won’t be needing your comfy chair anymore. Gather around the mic folks and let’s tell the world what we really think. With its kick like a mule attitude and no-nonsense delivery, don’t be shy friends, and give this yampy little lot a whirl.

Still feeling frowsty? Take a long sip of council pop ( that’s Brum speak for water) to cool off and if you still need a hand my friends, you can knock on my Deafs Door.

Deafs Door – Wired Up out now.
