Why.
Three days and three stages featuring some of the best Rock, Alt-Metal and Punk bands. The first Festival of the season has truly arrived. Away from the fantastic headliners, Call Of The Wild has collated a superb line up of bands to suit all Rock tastes. Friday kicks off with Last Great Dreamers, Trucker Diablo and The Idol Dead who all play the main Kilmister stage. For those of us who remember Kerrang, Double Diamond, The Marquee Club and Tommy Vance’s Friday night Rock show, Rocky Shades Wrathchild headline the Cloven Hoof sponsored second stage. Saturday is literally creaking under the strain of squeezing in so many top groups. Hands Off Gretal, The Spangles, Psyhcobabylon and Tax The Heat are my must see’s along with headliners The Wildhearts. Sunday hangovers will be blasted away by The Treatment and Witchtripper before Hardcore Superstar bring the COTW curtain down. Journey time between stages will be small so you can plan your day safe in the knowledge that you won’t miss any of your favourite acts, giving you plenty of time to check out a host of newer bands.
The band not to miss under any circumstances.
100% it’s The Wildhearts. Arriba!
In conclusion.
Festivals can be money draining events but (along with Camden Rocks and Stonedeaf) Call Of The Wild is bringing some much-needed value for money to gig and festival goers alike. As with all outdoor UK events, make sure you bring sunblock, waterproofs, sandals, wellies shorts and thermals!
