Australia’s Eat Your Heart Out have released ‘Closer To The Sun’, the third track from the band’s upcoming debut album ‘Florescence’ (out on 17 May via Fearless Records).
Vocalist Caitlin Henry says of the track, “Closer To The Sun is about wanting something new and different, reaching for something more ambitious, and being torn down for it. ‘Tall Poppy Syndrome’ is a phase that refers to flowers being cut down to size if they grow above the others, and you often see this with successful women in all different fields when they rise above those around them.”
The upcoming 11-track debut album reflects the band’s unique style and energy through blending aspects of grunge, emo, punk, and pop. The album was influenced by the personal and emotional growth that Caitlin has experienced over the past year, which is also reflected in the title of the record as the word ‘florescence’ refers to the act of flowering or blooming.
