South Wales band Bottlekids have released new single ’25 Days’
“We wanted to make a video representing some of the shit gigs we have done in the past. Even though on paper a lot of them weren’t exactly great we always managed to have a decent night and a few beers regardless. We needed someone to play that one person in the audience and we were so buzzing to get Jimmy in the video, he is a local legend in our town and to see him still throwing those shapes at 80 years old is incredible. We just put some beers in front of him and let him loose and he absolutely nailed it.”
From Chepstow, the band were formed as an excuse to get together on Tuesday nights and drink cheap cans of shit lager.
It all started off in a practice room in Newport doing songs by the Clash, Elvis Costello, Green Day and a load of their favourite bands and then eventually they started writing their own music. The upcoming EP will be released in june 2019 on digital and 12″ vinyl with money we have saved up in a sock.
The songs on the record are the bi-product of all those nights in their horrible practice room drinking warm beer and taking the piss out of each other. It’s simple and honest and the band are proud of how it has turned out.
The plan now is loose, but essentially theywant to do some gigs to try to flog these records, visit as many new places as possible and sample your local ales
