UK metal act Wars have revealed their very own version of Halsey & Yungblud’s mammoth single ‘11 Minutes’ in a vibrant new take on the mega hit. Still hinged around that soaring chorus melody, Wars’ version of the track is also infused with their own heavier edge, making for a truly arresting cover.
Vocalist Rob Vicars says “So this cover of 11 Minutes started out as a bit of fun in the studio – the original is just so good, we couldn’t help but give it a go. Such a great mix of artists have already put their own spin on it, but it definitely lends itself to a heavier sound so we thought we might as well commit our version to tape and get it out there.”
Wars’ latest release was an EP titled ‘As Within /// So Without’, released earlier this year via A Wolf At Your Door Records. The collection of tracks, featuring lead single ‘Little Death’ served as a pre-curser to the album that they’re just wrapping up production on, for release later this year. Both this cover and the forthcoming full length are produced by Matt O’Grady (You Me At Six, Deaf Havana, Architects).
With new music on the horizon and such an innovative new cover version added to their strong arsenal, Wars are also set to hit the road with various dates plotted from Camden Rocks on 1st June and beyond.
