Director, Kris Graham-Martin: “When I started this event at the age of 16, it was hard to be taken seriously by any bands or venues at one point. For the first few years It was difficult to find our feet and find our layout as it currently stands today. I’d say one of the biggest nightmare these days, is coordinating announcements and organising 70+ artists. With all its challenges though, it’s still one my most favourite events to organise every year!” The festival works to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support as well as to bring together the local talent of Nottingham with the wider UK music scene. Last year £10,000 was raised alone, whilst this year, early bird tickets have sold out even before any band announcement! |
