Bowling For Soup have recently spent some time in the studio, so there may be some new music to enjoy in time for the big anniversary – watch this space! Before we get to the anniversary celebration, Bowling For Soup are headed back across the Atlantic for a handful of special shows. Mindful of the fact that neither of their 2018 tours, The Great Happy Tour and the Almost Christmas Tour were not able to visit Ireland, there are two sold out shows in Belfast and Dublin taking place this month. Ireland is a stop off for Bowling For Soup on their way to play Groezrock for the first time, in what is a mainland European festival exclusive performance for 2019. Those in the other parts of the UK feeling left out need not worry, for there are two special opportunities to catch the band later this year. Bowling For Soup’s UK festival exclusive appearance for 2019 comes at the end of the Summer when they play Reading and Leeds. It was recently confirmed that on their first appearance at Reading and Leeds for sixteen years, BFS will headline the Lock Up Stage, playing Reading on the Friday and Leeds on the Saturday, the same day The 1975 headline the main stage. Here’s what BFS main man Jaret Reddick had to say about their Reading and Leeds return: “Back to where it all began for us in the U.K. I’ll never forget driving up to that festival and wondering “how the heck I ended up in this place.” The tent was packed. People recognized us watching Slipknot and Blink 182…it was the beginning of an amazing relationship with the U.K. and here we are again. Reading and Leeds!!! I can’t tell you how excited we are to be back! I promise we will make it a weekend not to forget!” |
