Bad Pond Festival joins Keychange gender balance pledge

Bad Pond is now a Keychange festival! As you may know, Keychange is a pioneering European initiative which empowers women to transform the future of the music industry and encourages festivals to sign up to a 50:50 gender balance.

Bad Pond festival, which takes place across 2 days this weekend (20-21 April at Concorde 2, Brighton), has made progress on addressing gender imbalance in its line-up, and promoters Small Pond want to keep improving on this in the years to come. Here’s a quote from Small Pond / Bad Pond Festival about joining Keychange:

“We believe strongly that it’s everyone’s responsibility to support equal gender representation in live music (and the wider industry), and that positive change only comes through facing the situation head-on and making a proactive effort to do things differently. Keychange is a good way of keeping track of our progress and showing solidarity with others who are also on the same wavelength. We’re proud to join them!”  – Small Pond / Bad Pond Festival

Bad Pond 2019 boasts an exciting line-up of talent from across the alternative music world, including Three Trapped Tigers, Kagoule, Jamie Lenman, Sœur, Anchorsong, Natalie Evans, CLT DRP, to name a few.
