George Ogilvie releases single ‘Grave’

George Ogilvie follows up the success of his second EP ‘Nowhere’ with the release of his first single of 2019 titled ‘Grave’ via Believe Music. George has quickly become a reliable name when it comes to releasing songs of depth, honesty and quality and the new single is an exciting taster of what’s to come this year.

Grave’ delves further into George’s striking songwriting abilities and sees him expressing his battles with mental health and alcohol. The combination of his open and honest vocals with a powerful indie rock sound develop the song into a dark and raw take of his life experiences. The track was recorded at the Real World Studios’ Wood Room.

The Brighton based songwriter has been making sure he remains true to his art since the industry spotlight fell on him. Taking inspiration from internal conversation as well as the environment around him, George has found his creative footing, poetic in his placement of words and accomplished in their delivery.

Having described the making of his current music as ‘literal musical therapy’, George has received a string of high praise for his usage of candid songwriting from outlets such as BBC Introducing and Clash, and rapidly built up a fanbase with over 1.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Grave’ proves to be just the beginning of an exciting year in the pipeline for George. Currently putting the finishing touches on his highly-anticipated debut album, he is preparing to play his biggest London show to date at Omeara this coming May, as well as a slot at the celebrated Green Man Festival in August.
