The Nightmares release new single ‘Kaleidoscope Mind’

“This is a song about the feeling that sometimes comes over you when you’re alone in bed at night…when your brain starts to wander and it’s impossible to switch off,” says The Nightmares’ vocalist Adam Parslow of their new single ‘Kaleidoscope Mind’ and the song’s reference to a mind that’s busy with fragmented thoughts and images.

The Nightmares have previously released the wistful ‘Dorothy’ and their first ever single, the synth-led, pulsating love song ‘Adore’, which both also feature on the impending self-titled EP which is set for release via Pretty Hate Records this Friday.

The EP will have a limited physical release on cassette format (Numbered to 100), as well as being available digitally. The sombre undercurrent in The Nightmares’ debut collection of tracks makes it a compelling listen, harking back to the perfect pop stylings of Joy Division and New Order, whilst also introducing the band as an exciting prospect in the modern music landscape.

Fresh off a tour supporting Holding Absence, The Nightmares will play a special EP release show at Le Public Space in Newport through which the band will also be raising awareness for Shelter Cymru and the homelessness issue in their local area. Safe Gigs For Women will also have a presence at the gig.
