Gloo announce ‘Stop and Stare’ EP

Littlehampton’s trio Gloo are set to release their new EP Stop and Stare on 26th April. To mark the occasion, the band have dropped new single Drama Queen.
I normally stay away from writing about relationships because it’s hard to come up with a love song that no ones written before. It’s not like I haven’t heard the words ‘drama queen’ before but I remember hearing someone saying it and I was like now that’s a cool name I can use for a song.  From there I kind of put myself in the mind of someone with relationship troubles, channeling any angst I was feeling at the time into this. I think everyone has some form of drama queen in their life that can relate to – even if you’re a singleton! If you don’t know how that feels, maybe you might after watching this”
– Tom Harfield, guitar & vocals

Gloo’s Stop and Stare EP follows last year’s acclaimed debut album A Pathetic Youth (KKKK – Kerrang!, 4/5 – Upset), and features their anthemic title track – which saw support form Amazing Radio, Punktastic and Kerrang!

Personifying DIY, Stop And Stare was recorded at local studio Ford Lane, “We do a lot of our stuff ourselves from demoing, artwork, merch to videos and releases. It’s amazing to have creative control and also well fun pissing around making videos and printing merch. We’re also just not into the fads that seem to swallow bands whole. You won’t see the dad cap and your uncles Ellesse potato sack fit jumper on us anytime soon. We quite literally are just doing us which if you like is great, and if that ain’t for you then that’s great too!
