Melissa Etheridge has shared the brand new video for ‘Wild And Lonely’, the latest track to be taken from her forthcoming studio album, The Medicine Show, out April 12th viaSnakefarm Records in the UK / Concord Records.
The video was filmed during her recent trip to the UK, which saw her play a run of headline dates including shows in Manchester, Glasgow and London. Exemplifying the passionate and dynamic performances she is known for, the video sees Melissa perform the track with a captivating raw power and intensity.
The Medicine Show deals with universal themes of renewal, reconciliation, reckoning, compassion and, most profoundly, healing. Through the songs, Melissa processed the deep fears and hurting she saw in the world on both collective and personal levels; ‘Shaking’ about national anxiety, ‘Here Comes The Pain’, personalising the opioid crisis, the unifying ‘Human Chain’ about the hope for healing, the rocking, anthemic ‘Love Will Live’, and album-closer, ‘Last Hello’, drawing on the incredible strengths and courage shown by the survivors of the Parkland school shootings.
