South-Coast metallers, Bury Tomorrow, who recently announced their only UK shows of 2019 for December, have today released a music video for ‘My Revenge’, a track from their ‘Black Flame’ album, released last summer on Music For Nations.
“At the end of 2018 we played the biggest shows of our career,” says singing guitaristJason Cameron. “My Revenge was a huge part of our set every night and to hear crowds singing a new song that loud, as if it had been around for years – was truly something special!”
The track is inspired by the events of Jeanne de Clisson’s life. A woman from Brittany whose husband was executed. She considered the act cowardly and unjust, With the English King’s assistance and Breton sympathisers, Jeanne was given three warships. Which she patrolled the English Channel and sunk French ships. She painted the ships black and their sails were dyed red. She captained the flagship, which was named My Revenge.
