Live Review: Palace at The Bodega, Nottingham

London based 4 piece Palace came to Nottingham on Tuesday in an incredible sold out show on the second date of their UK tour. This was their third time playing at The Bodega proving that they’re no strangers to Nottingham or it’s fans. Supporting them was the similar sounding Hot Dreams who are embarking on their first ever full UK tour and released their latest single ‘California’ last week.

Palace started off the show with the title track of their sensational first album So Long Forever released in 2016 and were immediately met with fans dancing and singing their lyrics back at them before switching it up into their older music from their 2014 release Lost in the night.

Overall the show was a bit tamer than we’re used to here at Original Rock but it was still one to be enjoyed if you’re into easier going shows with a crowd who aren’t going to push around but instead have a sing and dance and enjoy the chilled out vibe of the music Palace produce.

It’s also worth pointing out that this show being sold out was really quite remarkable given that Catfish and the Bottlemen were playing their own headline show round the corner at Motorpoint arena that same evening.

If you want to catch Palace on the remainder of their UK tour then the dates you need to lookout for are tomorrow, February 25th at The Haunt in Brighton and Tuesday the 26th where they’re playing a hometown show at Village Underground in London.
