Ahead of their biggest UK headline tour to date, beginning this February 24th at Manchester’s Soup Kitchen, Demob Happy have shared the official music video to match their new single ‘Less Is More’.
Speaking of the visual, frontman Matthew Marcantonio says:
“We’ve done videos about undead puppets, geriatric bowls teams and insidious beverage companies, but we’ve never done the Holy Grail of band videos that is the ‘International Tour Video’ – It’s simply a must-have for any band.”
The video captures Demob Happy’s 2018 tour, which saw the trio take their live show to an international level. Following the release of their second album, the band toured across Europe with Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, a sold-out UK headline tour, 27 dates through the US in support to Nothing But Thieves, and their own headline US shows, as well as recent UK gigs with Jack White.
“It looks like less, but it sounds like more.” Marcantonio adds of the new track. “You can dissolve it any way you need to, but for us it wasn’t literal. We threw our all at it, doing things that made us uncomfortable, because you wither and die if you don’t keep moving. There’s so much hidden away on this record you’d think we were joking, but we aren’t. Less is More, more or less…”
Demob Happy’s UK Spring headline tour runs across the dates below, closing on March 2nd at Brighton’s Concorde 2. They return to the US in March alongside Graveyard and Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, and for festivals including Shaky Knees, Sonic Temple and more soon TBA.
