‘Aurora’ featuring José González is the gorgeous new single from Zero 7, available today on Make Records. Shimmering, atmospheric and elegantly understated, ‘Aurora’ reunites the influential electronica duo with Swedish songwriter González, who they first worked with on Zero 7’s Grammy Award nominated 2006 album ‘The Garden’ and who also provided vocals for the track ‘Last Light’ from 2015’s ‘EP3’. Two versions of ‘Aurora’ will be available, an original mix plus an alternative mix.
‘Aurora’ is the follow-up to recent single ‘Mono’, which featured rising vocalist Hidden, and both tracks are available on a limited edition 12 inch single.
“‘Aurora’ is a collaboration with our old friend José González and will join ‘Mono’ on our new 12” vinyl. We think they work really well together,” says Zero 7’s Sam Hardaker.
Zero 7 have also unveiled a beautifully filmed and recorded live session video of ‘Mono’, watch here.
The official video for ‘Mono’ was directed by Julian House, who designed the cover of Zero 7’s first album ‘Simple Things’ and has recently shot videos for Noel Gallagher and Unloved.
‘Aurora’ and ‘Mono’ will be followed by more new Zero 7 material throughout 2019.
