Cardiff ascending newcomers HOLDING ABSENCE have released a heartfelt music video dedicated to their fans for their new single ‘You Are Everything.’ The song is taken from their self-titled debut album, which will be released through SharpTone Records on 8th March 2019. “When we started this band, we began using the mantra “You Are Everything”. It both reminded our awesome fans how important they are to this band, and how they are everything to us, but also felt like a message of hope and a reminder of how they should be everything to themselves. Whilst writing the album we wanted to slip the lyric in somewhere and fortunately this song really lent itself to that. After a hugely successful tour supporting AS IT IS in December, we walked away with some great footage and memories. This video – coupled with the song and lyrics – is just a reminder to our fanbase how important they are to us!” – Lucas Woodland, vocals.
Earlier this month, the band announced that they will be performing a stripped-back set and signing at Kingston’s famous Banquet Records. The performance is set for the 6th March, two days before the band release their highly anticipated self-titled debut record onto the world and kick off their lengthy European run with Southern California’s CAPSIZE.
Lucas comments “We can’t wait to be playing the prestigious Banquet Records for a very special, intimate acoustic performance this March. It’ll be a great way to thank all who have preordered our record, and also explore this new album in a more unique way!”
To coincide with the release of the album, HOLDING ABSENCE will be embarking on a run of European dates supporting US melodic hardcore standouts CAPSIZE before returning to the UK for their biggest headline run to date with CAPSIZE returning the favour by providing support on all shows. The run will take in 17 across mainland Europe and the UK, culminating in a show at London’s famed Underworld on 29th March.
