Celebrated pop-punk musicians Jaret Reddick (of Bowling For Soup) and Kelly Ogden (of The Dollyrots) will release their new duets album titled Sittin’ In A Tree on March 22nd on Whiskey Joe Records. Ahead of the album, Jaret & Kelly have released the first single ‘Here We Go‘ which you can experience in the lyric video below!
| Explaining how ‘Here We Go’ came into existence Kelly Ogden comments: “Here We Go” was one of the first tracks we wrote for the album. The lyrics and music really embody the spirit of the project… we didn’t know what we were doing or how we were going to do it but we knew it would be FUN!”. Jaret continues… “Here We Go” is definitely the song that made us both go, “Oh Shit! We are actually doing this thing!!” I started playing her the chorus, and Kelly started just singing “where we goin?…Don’t know what I’m doin!” And I was completely blown away…Haha….It was absolutely like NOTHING I had in mind for the song and it was perfect! I just don’t know how this song doesn’t put a pep in your step!”. |
| Friends and tourmates for over a decade now, the road buddies, Jaret and Kelly, have collaborated many times before, including their covers record One Big Happy and a duet single “Love Ya Love Ya Love Ya,” and not to mention countless times sharing the stage with each other. Most recently the twosome recorded the theme song, Those Were The Days,” for ABC-TV’s new sitcom, “Schooled,” a spinoff of the highly successful 80s sitcom, “The Goldbergs,”. |
