After featuring in Popdust and NPR All Songs Considered, LA’s alternative trio ASHRR return with ‘All Yours All Mine’, February 8th, combining post-modern synth rock with shades of new wave.
ASHRR is an alternative rock, synth pop collective made up of singer-songwriter Steven Davis, Grammy nominated producer Ethan Allen andmulti-instrumentalist Josh Charles. Each member of the trio has an eclectic musical background that meld experience and influences from a multitude of styles and genres, leading to ASHRR’s unique sound.
Professional musician Steven Daviscomes from a fascinating musical pedigree, having previously shared a stage with Tony Bennet and co-written with pop legend John Oates, Grammy nominated producer and engineer Ethan Allen has worked alongside Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Ben Harper and The Cult and critically acclaimed piano prodigy, guitarist, singer-songwriter and producer Josh Charles has been mentored by rock and rock hall of famer Dr. John and recorded for Columbia Records/Sony Music Entertainment, Island Records and Elektra Records/Warner Music Group. The band’s contrasting backgrounds allows for a collision of influences, with musical diversity heard throughout every record released.
The collective came together in early 2018 with the aim to create music for themselves at the highest possible level. Fast forward a year and ASHRR have released their debut EP, received support from Popdust, NPR All Songs Considered and Buzzbands LA and are due to release their debut album May 18th.
Taking inspirations from the likes of Talking Heads, Radiohead and U2, ‘All Yours All Mine’ is set for release February 8th with First Second Records via AWAL.
