Starting off the January leg of their ‘Stop the clocks’ tour at the O2 Academy in Sheffield, Enter Shikari were joined by Leeds based band Fizzy Blood
Taking to the stage the members of Fizzy Blood seemed very humbled to be there and at having the opportunity to support the first day of the tour due to Black Peaks being unavailable. Opening the set with Pink Magic, the title track from their latest EP released in September of last year, the band didn’t hesitate to capture the immediate attention of the crowd, an attention which they retained throughout their 7 song set. Their choice of songs were a clear attempt to win over as many people who weren’t yet fans, and I don’t doubt that it’s worked. The set list was an exciting mix of old and new material spanning most of their discography in order to give people a solid selection of songs to go home and check out. Overall their performance was energetic and very enthusiastic. I can’t wait to hear more from this band and to keep watch them grow over the next few years.
The ‘Stop the clocks’ tour continues throughout the rest of this month and early February and tickets can be bought at entershikari.com/shows, whilst Fizzy Blood aren’t opening these shows we absolutely recommend that you get down early to check out Black Peaks and Palaye Royale.
