SWEARS are a fuzzy alternative rock band originating from Middlesbrough, drawing influences from grunge, punk, doom, and pop. The band consists of Joel Clayton, Craig Hughes and Cypriot brothers George and Stephanos Louca.

The band officially launched in July 2017 and have released three singles that are available on all streaming platforms as well as the music videos being available to watch on YouTube. The singles have been played on BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and internationally on Fauve Radio in Hong Kong. In addition to this the band have appeared in session on BBC Radio Tees to play live versions of the singles on the BBC Introducing show. Also, the band have performed a live session on Black Square Sessions which is available on Amazon Prime Video. The band have been busy gigging around the country and are looking to book shows all over the North-East region and the rest of the UK.

The bands fourth single “Space Invader” was released December 8th 2018. ‘Space Invader’ was recorded at Prospect Studios, tracked, mixed and mastered by Ed Hall (of AllSilk Mastering House). Thematically, ‘Space Invader’ deals with the violence of colonialism and its lasting effects, with a doom-laden sound to reflect the dark subject matter.
